Power Node v.0.14.8 Released: Important Improvements and Bug Fixes
We are excited to announce the release of Power Node v.0.14.8, which includes several important improvements and bug fixes to enhance the performance and security of your node. If you’re a testnet user, we strongly encourage you to update your node to take advantage of the latest features and improvements.
Here are the key changes in this release:
- Simplified seed node launch: This release has made launching seed nodes easier than ever. The genesis chain is now automatically downloaded and verified, simplifying the process for users who want to launch a seed node. This means you can quickly and easily get up and running with your own node without worrying about manually downloading and verifying the genesis chain.
- Added information on nodes signing the current block: We’ve added new information to the /api/node/status endpoint of the API to show which nodes have signed the current block. This gives users more visibility into the consensus process and helps ensure that the block has been signed by a sufficient number of nodes for security.
- Fixed synchronization bug: We’ve fixed a bug that was causing periodic slow synchronization of nodes. This issue could impact the network's overall performance, but synchronization should be much faster and more reliable with this release.
